The Academy offers skills training courses to students who would like to learn skills in the beauty, hair, permanent make-up, nail, lash extension and make-up industry.
Academy of Somatology and Hairdressing is located in Pretoria East.
HAIRDRESSING AND BEAUTY THERAPY COURSES
- Our courses are 2 – 14 days depending on the course you choose to do.
- After completing your skills course you have to do the required Workplace Hours in your own chosen salon or at the ASH Hair & Beauty Salon.
- The ASH hair & Beauty Salon is affiliated with the Academy.
- Our learners are welcome to do their practical salon hours in our ASH salon.
- After concluding the Academy of Somatology and Hairdressing chosen course, you will receive a skills attendance certificate from the Academy.
- The learner is required to complete salon practical hours, theory assessment, practical assessment and portfolio of evidence.
- A trade test examination will have to be completed to become a qualified hairdresser or beauty therapist.
- After completing a skills course, you will have 3 months to complete your practical hours and portfolio of evidence.
- Our skills courses can help you achieve the trade exam after a number of hours have been completed in a registered salon. Further training may be needed to achieve this goal.
- We take a maximum of 14 learners per hair skills course and a maximum of 8 learners per beauty, nail, eyelash or permanent make-up course.
- Learners are responsible for bringing their own models to work on during the course.
